As Ashito gets accepted to Esperion’s Youth Team. Of course, the farewell with his teammates and classmates was bound to hit hard. But the farewell with his mother hit the hardest. In many ways this was her letting him go on his own path. Usually parents don’t do this until their kids hit college. It’s also clear she isn’t good at using her words, but rather her actions. She clearly loves her kids and is doing everything she can for them. The final letter was a beautiful showcase of that.

Interesting is the connection growing between Hana and Ashito. Her becoming a fan of his play is given; she created the meal schedule. Even more, we see her being a source of contact for his mother before his departure. It will be very curious to keep an eye on their dynamic going forward.

What is most particular is Coach Nozomi claim stating that Ashito won’t make it to the A team in his 3 years here. Stating that he would be Fukuda’s first failure. He mentions to Hana in the practice match it will showcase why he has a harsh opinion like that for Ashito. As we know how gifted Ashito is. Though what could be bringing just an opinion out of Nozomi?
