We see that the group learns about Tonji Anji from Shiraishi. It is very curious how he & his bandits were able to fight in the dark. We see why his hatred is so strong against Inudou because, well, he quite literally took away their sight with no care in the world. Still good on the guys, and as usual, Ogata is always prepared for the worst-case scenario. Still, thankfully, Hijikata makes it and seems to be an ally of Toni. One thing that is curious is that Tonji can see through Sugimoto without having sight. The other thing that is most curious is that he compared Sugimoto to a young Hijikata.
On Inkarmat’s side, a good scene is where, after being on their raft, they get hit and they sink. We see a scene that Huci says she saw regarding her daughter, and one could assume that Inkarmat is about to die. Though Tanigaki saves her. Perhaps this is the indicator that she won’t leave everything to fate. Perhaps she will meet Wilk again to have closure? Could she at least trust Kiroranke?
Of course Tsurumi isn’t happy that Usami blew his chance. It does seem Tsurumi is interested in the weapons that Inudou is hiding. Still with Tsurumi seeds, plenty on the group; it is curious if Hijikata can figure out things on his end.
This episode adapted the last few pages of chapter 118 as well as chapters 119-124. They were able to cover a lot of ground. As usual, most of the stuff they did cut is the more world-building aspects. It is unfortunate, but you understand why they cut it.
