This episode took a break from the “Laughing Man” case and focused on Marcelo Jarti, who is the “Immortal Hero”. Though he was thought dead, he is alive now. When the Section 8 team heads to the warehouse where Marcelo is headed, an interesting possibility arises where we see multiple versions of him. Though this is a case of ghost dubbing, where the “ghost” of Marcelo has been copied to these duplicate bodies. The actually impressive thing is that their memories align because otherwise this incident would be caught.
At the end of the episode, they hold back revealing this because Marcelo dying and having these copies of him out would be a big scandal. More likely Marcelo wanted this and knew he would be dying. While it is bad to deceive people, at the same time, more than likely he wanted to continue being their hero even beyond his death. It does bring up the question of celebrities with AI usage today.
