The 2nd of the Fujimoto Short Stories focuses on Sasaki, who thinks of his teacher Kawaguchi as a god. It provides a very wtf start to it as he is obviously in love with his teacher. Though Sasaki has an issue where many people look down on his dream of being an astronaut. There, her advice to him is actually very sound. Everyone has their own common sense. Granted, her point of being a god is definitely weird, but it works for what this short story goes for. The big point is to follow your dreams and prove them wrong.

With the terrorist popping up and demanding sex from Kawaguchi, it was something that felt uncomfortable. Though the words of the terrorists resonated with Sasaki. As we know, he is in love with his teacher. Of course that relationship being taboo could have him thinking, What if I did that and that heartbreak stopped me from pursuing my dreams?. In a way he imagined himself as the terrorist and could imagine himself in his shoes. He offered the advice Kawaguchi offered to him to the terrorists. Essentially telling him not to give up on your dream even if you will be going to prison as a result.

Overall, the story is very weird. The main aspect of it was to not stop from following your dreams, which is a good message. Though since Sasaki stopped a bullet with his bare hands, it is clear that Kawaguchi must be a god. As he changed her common-sense views, she did the same for him. Though admittedly her being a god doesn’t follow from following your dreams, as how does one be a god? Though that might be the point, as you watch and think, That is way grounded out of reality. As Sasaki’s dream should be at least possible. This was a solid short story, and the themes it executes are done well. I would rank it below episode 1.
