It’s interesting that after the Bridon Arc we now jump into another flashback episode. We get to learn about Guang’s past and it is just as cruel as what Cheng has gone through. He also doesn’t know the whereabouts of his family. But to add on top of that he has a foster father who abuses him and takes advantage of his powers. Thankfully the cops arrest the foster father.
It’s interesting to see him interacting with Cheng for a bit. Both talking about their powers. It appears that Cheng was Guang’s first true friend, which we got the sense of it from earlier seasons. Cheng is very much how he is in the present as he was as a kid. Something who takes action before thinking.
Still sad after the long timeskip when Guang sees Cheng again he doesn’t know him. It makes sense why he didn’t realize he had powers by the time we get to the Bridon Arc. Still was Guang’s tears just because Cheng forgot him or is there something more considering his powers.
