Sadly in this episode we have Tianxi’s death. Her entire life was suffering where it all started with the potential divorce of her parents. Then it just got worse and worse. We learn that she didn’t want to keep following Jin’s plans. The note on the back of the photo wanting her brother back symbolizes that much like Jin, Tianchen has turned into a monster himself. While you can sympathize with Tianchen’s pain he had many chances to leave with her.
Curious when the memories from Tianxi flowed within Qiao. Does this confirm that powers in this series can move from person to person? Or does it do that through death and Qiao was the closest? For how is the most emotional of the main 3 knowing this must have taken quite the toll.
You do have to feel happy to see Officer Xiao finally take Jin down and put him behind bars. Tu9s was a case no doubt left a hole because the loss of Chen hits deep. Curiously, he is now leading the part of the police dealing with paranormal abilities. So I would expect him to cooperate with Cheng, Guang and Qiao more going forward.
We do learn that Min Liu’s older brother Xiao Liu is the friend that we see in Tianchen’s flashbacks. It’s hard to say much about him, but at the very least it is clear that he hints that he has abilities in the paranormal. Looks like Tianchen will be aiding him since him leaving behind the phone implies that Tianxi is dead for real.
S1’s end was Cheng to understand the past is the past and it exists to help get information for the future. Ironically it was Guang who made sure Cheng didn’t die in the subway. It is ironic that Guang ignored the advice that he stresses to Cheng.
