This case followed two women who used to open a chain noodle shop together. Yu Xia ran as management and Lin Zhen in the backstage kitchen. The former wanted to get the seasonal recipe since they went their separate ways. At first Yu felt betrayed and wanted the special seasonal recipe. As Cheng goes back in time it is curious how it becomes so hard for him to find out.
The reality was it was Yu who had changed. What started as an equal partnership ended up with them cutting ties because of her greed. The seasoning that was used was the powder of fragrant flowers. The twist here is that it was Yu who offered that seasoning to Lin, but it is a seasoning that awakens people’s memories. In the case of Yu she realizes it was her fault not Lin’s, that they went their separate ways.
This case is interesting from the first since Cheng doesn’t change the pace but rather uses information to use in the present. Which does seem like the team’s main objective with these cases.
