Nippon Sangoku – Episode 4

Atoeru and Asama’s conversation is interesting because Asama’s approach is what you see more commonly. There is some leniency even with corrupt politicians. One could imagine they would be open to a favor down the line that you could use.

Still, Atoeru fully believes in pushing out the true nature of the law. Which I think is excellent to see because he was one to experience the wrath of Taira. He does bring up a good point that if you ignore the people long enough, a rebellion could rise. I do think for Atoeru he does run the risk of rubbing some people the wrong way, so he needs to be careful.

As it transitions to Wajima, it really shows how a dictator is born. As Atoeru mentions, if you ignore the people, they will cling to someone who will give them hope. We see Wajima according to the people, and there is no doubt why they are gravitating towards her. It is a reminder a dictator isn’t born overnight. We can even see how persuasive she is. Which is well captured.
