Myne does make quite the interesting discovery that the Taue can be Trombes if they absorb mana. To also add that adds in their paper source. However, Benno mentions it isn’t that easy. Myne would need to know if a child has mana and try explaining to a noble why you are giving their child a Taue. The temple, commoners, and nobles would be notably affected by this information. Which is something the nobility would monopolize. Which we have shown with the High Bishop, that nobles think they are above commoners.

We know how much Benno wanted to help Myne with her situation with the devourning, and his advice really shows how dangerous this ground is. Of course he is not saying Myne is not helping those suffering from devouring. But she has to be cautious, and it isn’t the time to think about using it as an increased resource for them.

Throughout this series so far, it has really showcased Lutz’s growth in terms of being a merchant. His family not seeing eye to eye has been a constant issue. Now his running away from home adds to the issue. At least it is clear that Lutz is serious about this. With that being said, his father’s concerns are legitimate. As traveling outside of town can be quite dangerous. Benno saying he would adopt him sounds good, but he would never look at Lutz as his son.

Granted, his father is terrible at expressing how he feels to his son. Which makes how Lutz’s other siblings interact with him cause more issues. Misunderstandings in the family loom large, and it is good that Lutz is back on good terms with his family. Being on his own or with Benno couldn’t replace the family he had.

Interestingly enough, the High Priest mentions that Myne will have to join the nobility. Which means she would eventually have to marry into the nobility or be used for breeding. The latter one just sounds beyond awful, and it makes sense for Myne to make a difference, not to mention the latter option would probably disgust their family. It seems Myne’s fate to join the nobility was set once she joined the temple as a Blue Shrine Maiden. At least she still has time left to spend with her family, but it is sad she will barely be able to spend any time with her future younger sibling.

If she does have to join the nobility, she would have to learn an instrument. Since the High Priest mentions having to play an instrument when she leaves the temple, it seems clear that whatever part of the nobility the High Priest is a part of is what Myne will eventually need to take part in. At least for Myne she can continue to build upon her workshop with Wilma’s help while Rosina helps with music. It will be interesting to see how they serve as Myne’s attendants going forward.
