It makes sense why we start seeing Teita start to think Coco is to blame. After all, it was Coco who ran after the masked man, and now they are left to deal with the Dragon. But all it leaves is for Coco to prove herself in the ways she can. One of Coco’s biggest strengths is her imagination, as she works with Teita to create a giant cloud for the Dragon to sleep in. While it isn’t the most ideal solution, it is the best the group can do for now.

Thankfully we see Qifrey coming to the girls rescue. But before Coco is reunited with the rest of them, the masked man mentions he has been waiting for his seed to sprout. Why did he choose Coco in the first place?

We get introduced to Olruggio, who is the one who keeps a watchful eye on Qifrey’s atelier. We can see Olruggio is more of a stickler for the rules compared to Qifrey, who really wants to get down to who the masked man is who gave Coco the book with the forbidden spells. As Olruggio mentions, it isn’t his or Qifrey’s job to investigate Forbidden Magic as a big example. That is the job of the Knights Moralis. Overall, Olruggio clearly has a good heart, but there are clear dangers that Qifrey wants to investigate.

Agott, who initially is seen as the rival to Coco. Though in truth Agott just wants to prove herself. It is understandable why she aims to do so because we each want an opportunity to showcase the skills we learned. Her pushing Coco to take the first exam when she did was an example of where she lacks the foresight. That the girls need to be at a certain level at a certain time, and she needs to realize there will be a time and opportunity for each one.

As Olruggio takes Agott out with him so she can get experience. She doesn’t want to use magical tools but rather use magic. It is part of the concerns that Qifrey has because hiding magic from humans is a big priority. One mistake can be a brutal one. Even when casting the bird, that doesn’t solve the problem; it just makes humans more agitated. It shows she still needs more supervision and training under her belt.

Though it is remarkable to see Coco use the magic when they fought against the dragon so she can save Custas. Once again it shows Coco’s imagination is truly her strength.

Sadly for both Coco and Agott, the Knight Moralis arrived. Well, things don’t look good, but what magic was cast? Did someone set this up?
