It is interesting to learn from the professor that it is technically possible to create an artificial sorcerer. Essentially, take any normal human and take parts from sorcerers, and they can become a sorcerer. It’s still a confusion as to why one would do that. Now, is Ai alive? It seems the professor can team up with his wife since Shin & Noi can only help so much.
As Ebisu got reminded of her parents, we saw how powerful magic can be. Where the parents missed her so much that they resorted to magic to create a copy, but as always there is something with the original that is authentic. Eventually her parents ran off, and perhaps Ebisu can reunite with her folks eventually. It’s funny how Fujita and Ebisu at this point are made to be partners, but they just haven’t come to terms with being open about it like Noi & Shin.
The speculation after this volume is that Caiman led the CrossEyes. Given how strong Caiman is in combat, it matches up that he is that after the doctor mentions he is human. A human who gave those unskilled with magic the chance to be able to hold their own. Still, despite his merits, En is quite the formidable foe, but using magic on the inside was a good way to defeat Caiman.
Nikaidou once again gets taken by En, which is annoying but clearly shows En is a conqueror. This big key for this series is Nikaidou’s role in the story because it is good to split Caiman and Nikaidou for CrossEyes and En’s group, but the manipulation on the part of En’s contract is an issue.
