Dorohedoro – Volume 4

To learn that Shin used to live in the hole, but to learn he is a hybrid of having a mother as a sorcerer. Interestingly, the people of the hole were a lot stronger than they are right now, when they are at the mercy of the sorcerers. Shin being a hybrid is interesting because he has magic, but he has trouble accessing it. I wonder if this is how Risu can access his magic. A bit of highlight on when he had to save Noi. Considering his father is gone, I wonder if there is a parallel between Shin’s relationship with Noi and Nikaidou’s relationship with Caiman. The one question is, is it only hybrids that can’t normally access their magic, or can normal humans do it too?

A big reveal is regarding Ebisu’s magic, as she turned Noi into a reptile. The odd thing is that we know Caiman isn’t out of control. The big question is who Risu the sorcerer is and why Caiman needs to search for him. As that is more logical than Caiman’s human form being Risu. Still, there is the point that Noi rejected Ebisu’s magic, meaning that Caiman is definitely not a sorcerer.

More interesting than the fact that the face of Risu mentioned to Ebisu that she stopped him. Which adds more to the speculation that Risu is the one who turned Caiman into a reptilian. There is still the matter of how Risu died. So it could be possible that happened outside of Risu’s control.

Curious for Caiman is that more and more people are pointing out that Nikaidou is a sorcerer. What is rather interesting is him running away from Nikaidou. It indicates that he cares for her very much as a friend. We do know Nikaidou is more than capable on her own, so one could assume he’d rather know why she is keeping it a secret. Though it is clear that Nikaidou is going to run into the sorcerer world to find out why Caiman ran off without telling her.
