The date between Stark and Fern is incredibly endearing. You can see the awkwardness between the two, which really shows this is each of their first dates. Stark is trying his best to make the date memorable for Fern. You can tell that really made Fern happy. As the date went on, they started relaxing, and the date went better for the two. Quite funny, Frieren’s answer to Fern about the dresses is the same as Stark’s answer to Frieren about her different hairstyles.

The party now reached the northern plateau. Quickly we see through the half of the episode how much more dangerous it is than the travels so far. There is much more danger around the clock, and even they can’t sleep without being on guard.

Frieren’s reason for opting to travel on the ground rather than by ocean is simply because there are people who need their help. As for the party itself, it obviously is a better idea to travel by ocean. Himmel’s ideal is to help those in need. What if there is someone in need on our way to our destination? It is a reminder that even though this area is more dangerous, there are people who live here and can’t abandon their home. Plus, this is the path that Eisen traveled, and Stark did say he wanted to relive his master’s adventure.

Last two pages of chapter 66 plus chapters 67 and 68. Honestly, in rewatches, these past two episodes should be rewatched together. Since we even got the “date” of Himmel and Frieren shown in this episode.
- People were right about the new director loving the Fern x Stark ship because they took the transition panels and enhanced them in a very endearing way.
- Manga readers know how big of a jump the action is from the manga’s art. The fight lasted for 2 pages in the manga compared to the high quality the fight is in the anime. As it holds up as one of the best fights in this anime season from any show.
- Also, the Himmel x Frieren date is 100% anime original, which takes upon the expanded content on the after page of chapter 66
