So a big reveal is that Ibara is neither a Fiend nor a Magical Girl. All of her power simply comes from her whip. So now it makes sense why their attacks won’t work against her. Well, Tanpopo is doing what she does best and empathizing with Ibara. Which actually might work.
Though we do have Shade doing some investigating. The father that Ibara refers to appears to be Itoma. More than likely the source of the whip must be happening from there. I do wonder if there is a connection between Itoma’s life as a human and Shade’s life as a human?
The bonus chapter was a nice and short, sweet viewpoint into Shade & Tanpopo’s relationship. Shade has been very much an older brother for Tanpopo and a huge source of support after her parents died. Tanpopo might be a magical girl, but she is also a teenage girl. Where in this chapter she is still trying to understand what the loss of her parents is like, any kid her age would react with such a sudden horrific event happening.
