Oh wow, talk about taking the ending of the last chapter and using it as the end of this chapter. However, use it to flip what is going on. In a scenario we’ve seen too many times, Shinobu is too passive and lets Nene run her over. We have been conditioned to it at this point, and many of us hoped Shinobu didn’t stand down. Well, she was about to again, but for once we have Nene not being assertive.
Her conversation with Rikka is important because, as she points out to Nene, Nene cherishes the friendship the most out of them. In fact, she doesn’t want to endanger that. Of course her feelings for Arisu are clearly there. For her, getting between Shinobu and Arisu being alone would make her feel like she is intruding.
The final page hurts because Nene isn’t being true to herself, and you can tell she is unhappy looking at herself. Curious what Nene does next.
