Well, I am happy that David was able to tell that Leo was holding back. In many ways we have David, who is true to himself and is more pure to his goals. In fact, he feels like a more typical Mecha protagonist. With Leo, he is insistent on getting revenge for his father, so he can’t be himself. David considers Leo a friend, but Leo must feel guilty of not being able to feel the same. The news that the organization wants David’s father out adds to this because he doesn’t want David to go through the emotions that he did when he lost his father.
