More than likely, Gramps knew about Reo for a while. Reo remembering his father in the photo and then only seeing stuff with Ryo had to hurt. I guess to him, his father chose Ryo’s side over his instead of being active in his life. I can empathize with why he feels like he doesn’t belong here.
Still, this is where Ryo is good at because he can be overly direct. But this is the important time for him to tell it straight that they are family. Though I wonder, will he find him with his friends at school and mention it? Granted, I doubt he cares about the secret that much as Reo.
