It is quite interesting that Lucy would be willing to follow Omelas. At this point Feyerabend is going at things differently than Omelas. Or perhaps they are on the same page? Where Omelas would need Charlie to come to him. He is a very hateable antagonist, but a superb one, where he can make moves even while he is arrested.
Still, Omelas’s plan sounds very asinine, making an army of hybrids. Granted, we have seen how much destruction these two can do, and who knows if you gave a humanoid the power animals are known for. Omelas’s issue with humanity is how much more powerful they are than animals. Thus, animals are essentially, from his POV, at the mercy of humans. Which he isn’t wrong to suggest. Sadly, animals don’t have the intelligence to match humans until Charlie and he came into existence. If there are more Charlies and Omelas, what will happen then? Does Omelas plan to use his sperm in Lucy?
Dr. Yuan puts the bounty on Omelas. However, she is at the same location as him, which is quite odd. More than likely it is to save face? Or could this be the attachment she feels as his mother in protecting him? Davenport still wants to exploit Dr. Grossman’s knowledge. Who knows where things go from here? They can possibly go in many directions, which has me curious. As we have the FBI falling behind on Charlie, who is bound to finally encounter Omelas.
