It adds up that Helck himself encountered the Will of the World and is a contactee. It serves as a point that people are their own individuals, and they can make their own decisions. While it wasn’t declared explicitly, it is clear that Uria was a contactee. Though he sought coexistence between humans and demons. Helck’s power is very much in the same vein as Uria’s, so it fits that Helck is a contactee. The best part, though, is Vermilio having that trust in Helck. There is no doubt this is the same Helck that she learned about.
Sad to see the Ancient fall to the will of the world. It is understandable that he was the one trying to save his people. Though he wasn’t the same person from the flashbacks that Vermilio & Helck saw. It makes sense that the person who invaded the King wasn’t the same in the terminal. As memories are shaped in every day we make. Taking over the king, they diverged from what their real intentions were and were manipulated. It is easy to be sucked into what is your fate, and it isn’t a surprise it happened to them. In fact, Helck’s kindness is on full display because even if he is their enemy, he could understand what they were fighting for.
Sadly, things went to shit as Mikaros is back with Shalmay. Essentially a forbidden spell gets used where Mikaros sacrifices the Winged Human Soldiers. Mikaros ultimately represents the greed of humanity in doing whatever and however many sacrifices are needed to bring the change, despite himself losing nothing from it.
No punches get thrown as Helck sees Alica along with everyone else being sacrificed. He falls into despair, as no surprise, but thankfully Vermilio snaps him out of it. It’s good to see Cless fighting, but even he can’t do much against this. So what will Helck do with him getting back up?
