Great chapter focusing on Hikaru. We know she has viewed Akane as her rival, whom she was set to beat. Though it was good to learn her backstory. The biggest thing is her anger, and her road to being a voice actor showed that. Essentially we see from her mother, who scoffed at that. Though she used her anger from that as motivation, and as we can see, she has been widely successful.
The story works so well with Hikaru’s obsession with Akane. That anger that she wants to beat Akane because she also admires Akane. One’s anger can be a double-edged sword, as anger can lead to many bad things. Though we can see from Hikaru that anger when used correctly is a powerful tool for motivation, as Hikaru’s motivation can’t be questioned.
