It looks like we are now shifting the focus to Akino. Despite the brothers having their secret, Akino has her own secret. Well, more so it is her insecurities. The comment of her being a female Kakiuchi is on the mark because she literally hides her true self under a personality like Ryo. Not that it is done intentionally.
It comes down to her being asked out by her friend’s crush in middle school and losing that friendship with that friend. Though in reality it seems that she used that as an excuse to not reach out and make amends. It’s a very middle school thing to let something so small ruin a friendship. Good for Akino to take baby steps with Mochida to speak what’s on her mind. Her issues feel very real.
